Privacy & Cookies

This site collects certain data to enable functions such as subscription forms and statistics. Read more info below.

Comments

I'm using a new comment service called FastComments. They only collect your name and e-mail address. Read more here.

Your submitted e-mail address won't be shown but it will be checked to see if there is a Gravatar image connected to it. It will also be used to send you notifications when there's a reply to your comment.

If you want to delete your data

When you comment, an account is created with Fastcomments. If you want to delete your data (including comments), go to this URL to login. This is a password free service, so an e-mail will be sent to you. Click the link in that e-mail. Then click "My account" further down the page. You can now modify your account settings and at the bottom of the page there is a "Delete account" button. If you choose to do this, all your data will be deleted.

Cookies

I don’t use any third-party cookies on this site.

Statistics

This site uses a service called Plausible for statistics about visitors, and will collect anonymised information about you. This service is cookie-free and respects your privacy.

Plausible statistics helps me to understand what content is more visited, what links are more clicked on, which can help me improve the site.

Web-stat does not use cookies but it collects certain anonymised information about visitors.. This data includes:

  • your location
  • what device, OS and web browser you use to visit the website
  • where you came from to visit the website (if you clicked a link on another website, social media for example)
  • what links on this website you click on
  • how long you stay on this website
  • if you are a new or returning visitor

Subscription form

If you choose to register for e-mail subscription, your e-mail will be registered. Your e-mail address will only be used to send automated e-mails when there are new blog posts, and possibly occasional information e-mails about news regarding the site.
I use Mailerlite as subscription service. You can read their privacy policy here.
